Advanced Poi & Fire Choreography - 8 week Course
If you have a complete understanding of beginners and intermediate poi moves, you have reached advanced - so well done on this achievement!
Now if you thought the other two courses where a challenge, then the advanced course is really mind boggling! We start to get more complicated with our arms and start to use our bodies a lot more. There are a never-ending amount of poi moves that continue on in the art of poi spinning. It will take time and patience to conquer some of the hardest poi moves, but when you get them ...
... you will feel SO GOOD!
We will work on one move per week, looking into how these moves are possible. Be prepared to work hard and have great fun learning the complicated advanced poi movements ...
Moves covered on the course:
- 4 beat weave forwards backwards
- 8 beat weave forwards backwards
- Putting different beat weaves together and turning:
behind the back weave - backwards weave - forwards behind the back weave
- One-handed poi joining all weaves together
- 5 beat corkscrews forward / backward

About your teacher Kate
Kate Wright, aka India Fire, is the founder of Poi Passion who realized her dream in life when she came across poi spinning whilst traveling around the world in 1999. Despite initially finding it extremely hard due to her severe dyslexia, with dedication Kate mastered the art of poi.
Kate now shares her passion by teaching the art of poi and fire. With it's many years of teaching and performance experience - Poi Passion has grown into the leading UK School of Poi Tuition and Performance.
