Educational Workshops
Poi Passion are workshop leader specialists in the art of poi spinning - with years of experience in the educational system running workshops all over the UK.
We take a professional approach to our work and the Poi Passion team is committed to providing unique learning opportunities for all participants.
Our educational workshops are about developing every child’s concentration, co-ordination, movement and creative thinking. We will work together as part of a ‘tribe of warriors’ to demonstrate the art of poi ... taking everyone on a tribal, historic, physical and mental journey through the art and history of poi and dance ...
All participants are encouraged to reflect on their learning and will be given evaluation forms so that we can monitor their progression. Poi Passion can case-study any children with learning difficulties and we usually produce amazing student results.
There are different educational workshops to choose from - each of which can be arranged to suit your requirements:
- 2 hour workshop
- Half day workshop
- One day workshop
- 3-6 month workshops
- Inset sessions for educational staff are also available
We follow a structured and disciplined format, or can adopt a flexible approach if required. These can be one-off introductory sessions or a program of ongoing studies.
We cater for schools, after-school clubs, summer school clubs, youth groups, youth centres, theatre groups and agents. We work with all ages and abilities throughout the Key Stages and especially closely with dyslexia, ADHA and autism.
