We offer a range of workshop suitable for all ages, which encourages students to work with balance, coordinated movement and 'brain gym' exercising as well as helping improve social interaction and communication skills.
Poi Passion can set up and run workshops in all areas of circus skills. We offer a wide range of workshops with teachers to accommodate your every need. The workshop can be one particular skill or combination of skills, some of which will be with specialised teachers who are also trained to work with all areas of special needs.
Number per circus skills class: 30 (requiring 2 teachers).
Please contact us if you have any specific requirements i.e. large group students.
Poi Passion runs workshops at play days, community event open days, and festivals for all age's groups. Our workshops can vary depending on people's capability and needs. We add an element of colour and excitement to the event with our fully trained circus instructors - there to entertain your guests, leaving them with a day to remember!
We are dedicated to setting up workshops within everyone's price range and can tailor each session individually.
Our Qualified teachers will do a demonstration of each piece of equipment interacting this with its students asking them to get involved. We also do a risk assessment recognising the dangerous parts of circus skills and working in large groups with equipment, as well as explaining the native countries the equipment comes from.
The workshop will be split into groups depending on size of workshop and each group encouraging to have a go on each skill to find which skill suits them the most. At the end of the workshop the students are encouraged to put on a show of their favourite skill either a solo performances or group depending on how they feel, with our qualified workshop leader acting as the ringleader and creating a circus big top tent atmosphere. Students are encouraged to come up with a stage name. We encourage the students to support one another with in their performances with audience participation.
Whatever the group or age these workshops are extremely fun and educational
We offer type wire, unicycling, Chinese pole acrobatics, basic ropes, and basic silks. These workshops come at an extra cost with an extra specialise teacher who will take you through the workshop. If there's any other kind of workshop you require please not hesitate to contact us.
